What Tally's Amazon Data Import Plug-in is
TallyPrime Release 7.1+ includes an official Amazon Data Import Plug-In (per TallyHelp): file-based import of Amazon B2B/B2C sales, returns and settlement data with predefined mapping templates, handling negative returns, discount tax treatment and Amazon TCS/TDS. It requires an active Tally Software Services (TSS) subscription and covers Amazon only.

For an Amazon-only seller current on TSS, the native plug-in is free and inside Tally — try it first; if it closes your books cleanly you may not need anything else. The case for TallySutra begins where the plug-in stops: Flipkart and Meesho in the same close, order-level payout reconciliation, an exception queue, and an approval step your CA controls.

Should I just use Tally's own Amazon plug-in?
If you sell only on Amazon, have TallyPrime 7.1+ with active TSS, and are comfortable verifying imports manually — genuinely, try it first. It is free and native. TallySutra earns its keep when you add Flipkart or Meesho, or want reconciliation and review.
Does TallySutra require TSS?
No. TallySutra produces standard TallyPrime import XML, which loads through the normal import screen or the Gateway's local connection. The native plug-in's TSS requirement is a Tally Solutions licensing condition for its connected features, per TallyHelp.
Can I use both together?
Avoid importing the same Amazon data through both paths — that is how duplicates happen. Pick one pipeline per marketplace. TallySutra's imports are duplicate-safe against themselves, but it cannot deduplicate vouchers another tool created.
